I was just wondering if I can do Certification realted to Data recovery or backup solution? Is their anything like that?

If i was to perform a DOD Wash or a GuttMan wash, is any of the data recoverable even if sent to a data recovery firm? Ive seen some software that claim to be able to get data back even after wiping the free space with DOD and NSA but is this actually true? What is the best way to get rid of data that you no longer need and don't want to fall into the wrong hands?

Virus hit my computer and deleted all photos, iTunes music, word. excel docs bla bla bla.
I need some one out there to suggest me a best Data Recovery software to recover most of my lost files.

Not very versed in this subject. The only thing I've been told is that it can cost anywhere from $50 to nearly $2000 dollars to get data recovered from a hard drive.

What about if the hard drive has physical damage?

I have an old Ibook and for some reason I can't open my personal folder. Maybe because I put a file vault on it which makes it more difficult to retrieve.It's not accepting my old password and it doesn't allow me to assign a new password. Most data recovery specialists I called was asking me between $600-$2000. It's just a personal computer. I was hoping I could find something like $100-$150. Thanks in advance.

I dont know how but some how I lost all of my data on one of my HDs. I'v managed to find some programs to recover the data but they are expensive and i mostly want to recover family pics.

ok this is what happen. by mistake i format my storage hard drive (wipe out) (slave drive) where I HAD my videos, pictures, software,and other folders. i used some data recovery softwares but no success, I had over 100 videos and family pictures all gone can somebody please HELLLLLPPPPPPP!!!! THANX SSOOOO MUCH!
